Description
The PD565 is part of Hytera’s range of digital migration radios designed to facilitate and encourage analogue radio users to switch to digital thanks to affordable pricing and ease of use.
The PD565 is capable of dual mode, so can be used as either an analogue or digital radio for users with mixed fleets or who are not yet ready to make the move to digital, but want to ensure a smooth migration path when the time comes.
In DMO, the radio can provide two-slot communication, which allows for two talk paths on one frequency. It is also capable of Hytera’s pseudo trunking feature. This virtual trunking feature allocates a free timeslot for urgent communications. This effectively enhances frequency efficiency and allows you to communicate in a timely manner in emergency situations.
The radio measures 115 X 54 X 27mm with dual-colour injection and weighs 260g. In digital mode, PD565 operates at least 16 hours under a duty cycle of 5-5-90. It is compliant with MIL-STD-810 C/D/E/F/G standards. Existing analogue audio accessories can be reused.
It supports One Touch features that comprise of pre-programmed text messages, voice calls and supplementary features. The latter, optional features, include decode radio enable, radio disable, and remote monitor, as well as priority interrupt.
The PD565 provides basic digital encryption and scrambler feature in analogue mode. Advanced signalling features include support for multiple advanced analogue signalling modes, including HDC1200, 2-Tone and 5-Tone, providing better integration into existing analogue radio fleets. The data protocol is fully compliant to DMRA standard.
Hytera has identified a number of key target markets which it believes are suitable for the PD565, including: retail, education, security, warehouse, hotel and rental sectors.
